Good Shepherd exists because Jesus died and rose again. He died in our place so that we might be saved and we want to share this really good news with everyone!
We are a small and very friendly group of Christian people, a part of the Nambour Lutheran Parish and the Lutheran Church of Australia families. We come together every Sunday for worship and fellowship. Over the year, we have regular bible studies, a prayer group and social activities.
Whether you live in Witta, our neighbouring districts, have recently moved here or are just visiting, we warmly welcome you to Good Shepherd. And if you’re interested, you can read about our Church History.
“Nothing can separate us from the love of God” – Romans 8:38,39
COVID-19 Response: We at Good Shepherd are following the guidance provided by the Australian Government and the Lutheran Church of Australia. Physical distancing may be required, but social isolation is not. Church services at Witta have resumed with service timings below.
Is your world feeling a bit shaky right now?
Like many other people, you might be experiencing some strong emotions and persistent thoughts that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the surface. You might be feeling that the foundations of your life are a bit shaky right now. It’s for people like you that a video has been produced for this season of uncertainty and anxiety. We hope you will find here the comfort and assurance that Christians have in the presence and promises of God.
Start or finish each day in God’s word. A Daily Devotion helps us to keep our eyes on Jesus as we face these unsettling times.
Lutheran Virtual Choir
Recently, there was a collaboration with Lutheran Education Queensland schools for a Virtual Choir project! We hope you enjoy their beautiful rendition of ‘10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)’ by Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin.
